Here are some of the shots I worked on for Warner Brothers' "Green Lantern". Please read the breakdown below for a description on each shot.

 

 

"Green Lantern" VFX Animation reel Breakdown

Shots 1: "SIT DOWN!"

  • Responsible for cleaning up motion capture curves and keyframe animating everything from the shoulders down to the fingertips. Animated body musculature and blended CG neck muscles into the 2D plate.

Shot 2: Finger against forehead

  • Responsible for cleaning up motion capture curves and keyframe animating everything from the shoulders down to the fingertips. Animated body musculature, blended CG neck muscles into the 2D plate, and keyframe animated the mask to move with Hal's skin.

Shot 3: Soul sucking

  • Responsible for animating Parallax (Big black/yellow, soul-sucking, gooey, squid-monster)

Shot 4-6: Hal gets blasted through truck

  • Responsible for all animation except for yellow blast. The character and truck are both full CG keyframe animated.

Shot 7-8: Hal and airplanes flying

  • Responsible for cleaning up motion capture curves and keyframe animating everything from the shoulders down to the fingertips. Animated body musculature and blended CG neck muscles into the 2D plate. Animated Parallax in both shots, and keyframe animated the airplanes in shot 8.

Shots 9-13: Hal Jordan and Sinestro

  • Responsible for cleaning up motion capture curves and keyframe animating everything from the shoulders down to the fingertips. Animated body musculature and blended CG neck muscles into the 2D plate.
